Calgary Basketball Classic Schedule & Results Information

The Calgary HSBC Basketball Classic has a total of 64 teams participating in six separate tiers. Each division has 32 girls and boys teams, in brackets of 8 or 16. There are 27 member schools in the CSHSAA. Five other high schools from the surrounding area were invited to round out the six brackets. Over 1,000 student athletes, coaches, trainers and managers will be participating.

More than 35 team members will be selected to receive $1,000 scholarships for post-secondary schooling. The scholarship winners will be honored at a dinner on Wednesday, December 7 at Glenmore Inn.

There will be 16 schools each hosting double-header contests on Monday, December 5. On Tuesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 8, single or double-headers will take place at the school with the highest seeding. (Note: Foundations for the Future, Rundle Academy and Clear Water Academy will not host games. If those teams enter games as the higher seed, the game will take place at their opponent's gym. If they meet each other, the game will be assigned elsewhere as a part of a double header.)

The game times are 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. nightly. 

The Division C Championship and Consolation Championship will go on Thursday, December 8 at Host Schools determined in the brackets. The Division A and B Consolation Championship is scheduled for Friday, December 9  and A and B Championship games are at Crescent Heights High School on Saturday, December 10. The final games in the Shaw TV Boys and Big Mountain Girls A Divisions will be telecast by Shaw TV at the following times: TBD.

The admission rate for the Calgary Basketball Classic is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for high school students and $1.00 for all other children (no charge for pre-school kids). A limited number of adult passes will be available on Monday night only. These $10.00 passes will allow an adult access to all games during the week.
