Calgary Basketball Classic Media Information

Quick Facts:

• Tournament Purpose: "Fostering Citizenship, Leadership and Academics through the Great Game of Basketball."
• 64 Teams are participating from Calgary and surrounding area.
• Games will be played at High Schools within the City of Calgary.
• Close to 1000 student athletes & coaches paticipating in the tournament.
• Over 7000 spectators expected during the event.
• Since its inception In 2006, the event has awarded $124,000 in scholarship assistance to outstanding participants
• The tournament is organized by a tournament committee comprised of the three founding partners including; Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association , Basketball Alberta and The Calgary Booster Club.
